Police Launch Manhunt After Entebbe Couple Murdered

Entebbe, Uganda – The Uganda Police Force has launched a full-scale investigation into the shocking murder of David Mutaaga and his wife, Deborah Florence Mutaaga, who were found killed in their home in Entebbe on Sunday, July 6, 2025.

In a statement released today by Police spokesperson Michael Kituuma, authorities confirmed they are working closely with other security agencies to identify and apprehend the perpetrators behind what is now being treated as a targeted double homicide.

“We have obtained a video recording of the suspect, which we believe could lead to a breakthrough in the case. We call upon the public to listen and help us identify the person behind the video,” Kituuma said.

To aid the investigation, the police are offering a UGX 50 million reward (approximately $13,000) to anyone who provides information leading to the suspect’s arrest.

“If you recognize the voice or have any relevant information, please contact us immediately at +256-769 675 918,” the statement added.

The motive behind the murder remains unclear, but investigators are combing through evidence gathered at the scene and following leads, including digital and forensic analysis of the video clip.

The tragic killing has sent shockwaves through the quiet Entebbe community, where residents are now calling for increased neighborhood security patrols and faster response from law enforcement.

The Uganda Police Force has urged the public to remain calm but vigilant and to report any suspicious behavior as the hunt continues.
