Over 5000 war veterans that pitched camp at Kitagenda primary school in Rwamata Town Council, Kiboga district have raised complaint with government for over delaying to fulfil its promises, the reason they are in desperation today.
These veterans have camped at the school since 2017, and claim they would not leave until president Museveni compensates them for the loss and damage the National Resistance Army caused in the Luwero Triangle during the war.
The veterans spoke through their association Patriotic Veterans Association- Kasejjere- Kigemuzi, that brings together all veterans in the Singo area.
According to their chairman Tomusange Jagwe Ntindyebwa, President Museveni started his war journey in their area, and wonders why its not them that are prioritized when it comes to compensation.
Kiboga district is home to several memorial sites for the National Resistance Army war that took place from 1981-1986. Some of them are at Ddwaniro and Rwamata sub counties.
