Rubaga Deputy Resident District Commissioner Herbert Anderson Burora has confirmed that he has been dismissed from his position.
“In my tour of Duty, I want to thank Hon. Min. Milly Babalanda for her relentless guidance, for defying all odds against cadres and supporting me in particular to serve better. Your call towards fighting corruption is something we applaud you for”, he said his farewell message on X before adding.
“I also want to thank The Secretary Office of the President Hajji Yunusu Kakande for his support. Much as I don’t want to delve much into this suspension, he has been a mentor. So many fronts have pointed at me, he has been my shield. The HR office of the President, my Consultant and advisor, I will always be indebted to you.”
He added that he will return to make media appearances next week.
“To the media fraternity, I will not address or appear in the Media in the meantime until next week,” he added.
Reports allege that Burora was dismissed from his position after he turned against high profile government officials, more specially the Speaker of Parliament Anita Among whom he lambasted over alleged reports of corruption using his social media account.
He was also allegedly deemed “disoriented” from his lawful duty of defending and representing the government.
His suspension came hours after Speaker Among held a meeting with president Yoweri Museveni at State House.
